Weep Pipe

Weep pipes are an essential feature of many buildings, particularly those with flat roofs. These pipes help to prevent water buildup on the roof, protecting the building from water damage and potentially costly repairs.
How do weep pipes work? Simply put, they are small openings found along the edges of roofs or other areas where water may gather. These openings allow water to drain out of the roof and away from the building, rather than pooling and causing damage.
Weep pipes can be made from a variety of materials, including PVC, copper, and stainless steel. They typically come in standard sizes, but can also be custom-fit to suit specific building requirements.
In addition to their practical function, weep pipes can also be aesthetically pleasing. Many manufacturers offer different finishes and designs so that the pipes blend seamlessly into the building's exterior.
It's worth noting that weep pipes may not be necessary for all types of roofs. Pitched roofs, for example, are designed to naturally shed water away from the building. However, flat roofs are more prone to water buildup and therefore require the assistance of weep pipes to prevent water damage.
In summary, weep pipes are an important feature of many buildings that help to protect them from water damage. Whether you're constructing a new building or looking to update an existing one, it's worth considering the benefits of incorporating weep pipes into your design.
